Blue and Gold Macaws are a great Companion bird for one person or the entire family. This is a lively, bouncy bird that loves to play, climb, and interact. They need a couple of hours a day outside a cage to be happy. Blue and Gold Macaw’s are eager learners. They can be taught a variety of tricks. They are also one of the best talking of the Macaws and can learn about 15 to 20 words or expressions. But like all Macaws this parrot has a loud call, and it may be quite vocal at times. Providing lots of toys and activities is one way to keep your bird happy.

They best way to purchase a Blue and Gold is from a baby that is handfed and well socialized. Our babies are handfed and socialized here with our employees and our customers.

Health of Bird:

It is our Desire to sell only healthy birds. You are encouraged to take the bird to an Avian (Bird) vet within 2 days from date of sale (obviously if you are purchasing a hand-feeding bird we are asking you to take the bird purchased to the vet once you pick it up from the store). Should the vet find any serious health problems and you bring documentation, we will issue you store credit or exchange the bird.

We cannot exchange or give credit for the following reasons: Change of mind, jealousy (by other pets), allergies (we do sympathize) or lack of allowance of adjustment time for the bird to its new surroundings. When bird is purchased you will receive a care sheet explaining the proper acclimation times, the variety of foods, fruits and vegetables to feed your baby.
